Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 307 307: Irgis City V

That could have gone a lot better if Cole had to be honest. Of course the Dragon refused to hand over Peronico, but Cole never expected it to do in the first place anyways. However asking the dragon if he could at least speak to the man and his family before he left on his assassination mission was a success.

Cole did not ask for a meeting for nothing, while he would try his best to find a map or blueprint to the volcano once he is out in the city, he at least wanted to use his own eyes and mind to find the best path and route to escape if he ever needed to break out Peronico and family.

He was trying his best to understand the terrain and the building, and also find out just what obstacles he would be up against to make sure he see this through to the end, of course there was no bigger obstacle than Garudon himself, but Cole was almost sure that even if he could not defeat the dragon, he would leave it incapacitated long enough for him to escape the island.

He was being led by a sentinel, they took an elevator just outside of Garudon\'s hall. It took them down past the bed of the volcano and straight into it, the elevator protected from the intense heat. Cole could not help the feeling of nervousness as they traveled through lava, should the anything happen and the bloody elevator breaks, then that would be an extremely painful death.

Of course given his healing abilities, he almost could not be sure what would happen should he fall into lava…..or was it magma. In the end there were all just the same thing right, ultimately just a very painful death, drowning and burning at the same time, Cole shuddered, he wouldn\'t wish this on his worst enemy.

They went past the volcano until all Cole could see was rocks, then with a whoosh they were within the ocean. Beneath the island was a dome on the sea bed, Cole could see thousands of sentinels in the water, along with prisoners who had on breathing tanks over their heads, there were other prisoners without the tanks, those who could survive in water due to their aquatic physiology.

They were all very busy with most of them moving things around the dome and the island, others were actually mining things from a coral reef that Cole noticed in the distance, and the reef was massive. It stretched from the sea bed to the island above, and spread out round like some sort of protective wall around the dome.

There was no way in, or at least if there was a way in it would be a very tight fit. Cole had no idea what was happening here, but this was a marvel unlike anything he has ever seen before. The elevator kept on taking them down until they reached the sea bed, where it then opened up to a tunnel, that led straight to the dome.

[Welcome To The Irgis Prison Solitary Confinement And Rehabilitation Area]

So there was still a prison in the volcano, but this was solitary confinement…..Cole could not help but feel that this was blatant lie. But who was he to question how a power hungry psychotic dragon chose to run his business. Cole followed behind the sentinel as they moved towards the dome.

Looking outside into the ocean, about from the sentinels and prisoners, many of which if not all of them he now noticed had massive chains attached to their necks, which were in turn attached to massive boulders, stuck firmly in the sand. And beyond that Cole noticed that the rocks were lined with metals that had runes on them…..weight runes that made the already heavy stones a 100 times heavier.

As far as prisons go, this was quite an ingenious way to keep your prisoners contained. He also noticed there was almost no other aquatic life down here. No fishes, sting rays etc, all was bare except for the prisoners working and their guards.

They got to the end and a door opened up with a hiss, leading them into a small chamber that kept Cole and the Sentinel Trapped for a moment longer before it opened up and led them into a circular hallway. Everything was white and pristine, like the research facility of a billionaire villain or something. The sentinel led him towards the left stopping in front of a door that had been built into the wall, it opened up into another hallway.

But this hallways was a prison proper, there were cages the size of small huts that had people trapped in chains. Both arms were pulled back with their hands attached to the ceilings, while their legs were shackled to the ground as they were left in a kneeling position. Then their eyes were closed with a leather strap that had runes on it, while a round ball was placed in their mouths, saliva dribbling through it as most of them gave silent subdued screams.

It seems running prisons in this world was quite a lucrative business, especially when it would give one the chance to visit unspeakable cruelty onto the bodies and minds of people. They moved through roles and blocks of this kind of cell, many of them were still empty, many more had the dead within, and many more had the tortured within. They came to what Cole would only call a service entrance before they walked in.

From what he could see this place was a workshop, and one it seems that was solely catering to the manufacturing of sentinels and other weapons of war. And that was when Cole finally realized what was happening here...Garudon was building an army of gold ranked mindless killing machines. Cole could hear screams just as he could see assembly lines of people getting the signature red armor grafted and attached to their bodies, it was scene straight out of a horror movie, Cole was so shocked that he could not help but ask.

"What the fuck is this?"
