Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 336 336: The Sapphire Temple II

The path forwards had been somewhat slow, to get to the temple of the sapphire seas, they would have to travel to an island called Reshnua. Apparently the temple had once been a part of the island, but it had been sunk when much of the land on this planet was swallowed up by the crystal seas.

Cole had further learn that the temples, with each of the seven crystal seas having one, were probably what was responsible for the flood. But till date, even those who had traveled to the temples before and  were lucky enough to return alive, had not been able to figure out the secrets of the temples.

Some reports about the temple said they were literal worlds unto themselves. And endless expanses of buildings, a city within a temple, or a temple that\'s a city the size of a world. It didn\'t matter to him though, the path to the sixth floor would be found there, whatever there may or might be.

It was towards the end of the sixth day, just a day before the collapse of the 5th floor that they arrived at Reshnua. It was a single island the size of a football field, with a tower in the middle that stretched so high into the sky, it was a wonder how its thin structure was able to support itself to such a height. It was just about the size of four people holding their hands in a circle.

Cole did not have time to worry about it\'s architecture though, instead what he should be worrying about was the blockade that was surrounding the island. Pitch black ships belching plumes of black smoke into the air, a Gothic steampunk like design, as the ships had spikes jutting out of their sides.

"Is that the fire nation?" someone asked from behind Cole, it took all of his will power to keep quiet and not jump into a discussions about the four elements and certain 112 year old kid. That would completely destroy the image of a dangerous and fearless leader that he was trying to get across.

"Unknown Fleet! This is the Flame Nation! And we\'re exercising our sacred rights as the last true descendants of the land that now lays under the sapphire sea, to claim and  conquer the sapphire temple and return to order our once great majesty. These waters are under our control, turn back or get sunk!"

Cole raised an eyebrow at that as he waited for the shock to wear off. I mean it was the flame nation, not the fire nation so definitely the universe was not plagiarizing one of earths greatest stories. The story might be a few hundred years old and has seen a few remakes. And  spin offs and adaptation but it was still timeless and one of the best.

"All the ships have sub capabilities right?" Cole asked Ravena as her jade dragon body turned to him and nodded. Cole smiled as he faced the blockade. They could fly over it, but Ravena did not have the maneuverability in air that she on the sea and under it. She was a sea ship with airship capabilities, not an airship with sea ship capabilities. It just wasn\'t her domain, and Cole also knew it was the same for the other seven ships.

They were outnumbered at least 10 to one, and even if they were special ships, these ships now carried other Raens. His people, there was no way he would march head long into a fight. They could all just as he could, but Cole would rather be smart than reckless.

"The send everyone under the sea, let\'s see if these fire nation are what they say the are." Cole said only for Eze to tap his shoulder.

"It\'s the flame nation sir….. not the fire nation." Cole looked back at him and said.

"I know that."

The sound of wood creaking and metal clanging filled the air as all seven ships began to shift their forms. Then they began to sink into the sea as their air pocket domes  covered the decks. It was only Ravena that had a completely full transformation, and looking at the happy glint in Eze\'s eyes, Cole decided to take a step back.

"Would you like to have this one?" Cole asked as he stepped back for his general to take over.

"You know I told you I was in the army, which is wrong, but army more than encompasses the word for soldiers. What I\'ve never told you sir was that I was actually in the navy before my injuries. Top of my class in simulated battles for hydro rich environment and interstellar warfare. Both as a pilot and navigator,  and as a commander and  admiral. I dedicated this victory to you sir!"

Cole wouldn\'t pretend he understood what Eze meant by all these accolades he just called out. But at the very least he would take it to mean that, Eze was well trained in ocean and outer space battles. Which was good, Cole was pretty sure he got the land routes covered.

And no matter what he has faced, Cole had been very good at adapting to his environments and the abilities of his foe. Fighting in the ocean would not be hard for him either, even if he has to lead. However it would be best to leave it to the professionals for now.

"Ravena I would like direct contact with all seven ships. I have a skill that would let me connect my mind with any weapon, tool, vehicle or building related to warfare. And as of this moment all seven of you are flagships of the Imperial Raen navy!"

Cole chuckled to himself, this guy could bullshit a lot better than he could and create an aspect of government the very moment he realizes he needed it. No wonder they were growing to be fast friends, plus it didn\'t hurt that even at a lower rank than Cole...Eze could fight him to a standstill! He was the biggest threat to Cole\'s power…. and they were master and subordinate....Cole almost felt sorry for the the universe that was coming.
