Chapter 31 - Are You Still Going To Continue?
\'In other words, I need to keep him here for at least an hour and a half. I hate using my authority as a teacher but we\'re going to kill him anyway.\'
Hanon\'s thought pierced through the door and entered Iesa\'s ears.
Without thinking about it, Hanon checked Teren\'s future. However, he still saw nothing.
\'Maybe I should get information out of him. Maybe my Spirit will work.\'
But before Teren sat down, he asked.
"Sir, will this take long?"
\'Did he find me out?\' Hanon\'s expression slightly changed.
"Some of my classmates are waiting for me outside so I want to know."
"Ah..." Hanon internally sighed in relief, "Well, tell them this will take long. Sorry for the disturbance but I\'m a talker. The thirty minutes that I planned may take longer."
"Okay, then I\'ll tell them to go ahead."
Hanon nodded.
When Teren got out, he saw that Iesa was close to the door.
"Hm?..." but he ignored it, "Sir Hanon said it will take longer. Maybe an hour or so. You don\'t have to wait for me."
"That long?" Lina said with a complaining tone.
However, Iesa had a serious expression as she replied.
"I will wait for you."
"... okay." Teren blushed.
"Then I\'ll wait here too." Nick nervously followed.
"Ho..."
\'Huh? Why did his attitude change?\' Nick trembled.
Lina thought for a while before saying, "Then I\'ll wait too. An hour is nothing."
"... I guess that\'s your choice."
Teren then went back and sat in front of Hanon.
"So who are these classmates waiting for you?"
Hanon began with a simple question. Teren answered but Hanon would continue detouring the topic.
If it was any other student, they would\'ve been annoyed by this as precious afterschool time was getting wasted.
5:00 PM, the yellow sky was getting redder as the sun settled.
The three outside the faculty waited. Lina was obviously getting bored. She looked at Iesa and there was no way she wanted to talk to her, she thought. She looked at Nick and smiled.
"Hey, I still haven\'t learned about your accident."
As a student known as a "cool extrovert kid", Lina easily initiated a conversation.
Nick didn\'t know what to say and could only look at Iesa for help. However, the girl he wanted to get help from was too preoccupied with something.
5:30 PM
Iesa was finally able to understand what Hanon was trying to do. Although she couldn\'t believe it, she herself can read people\'s minds!
\'He can see that future. The more he knows about the target, the clearer their future is to his eyes. However, even after Teren\'s consistent answers, Sir Hanon is still failing. Now, he\'s wondering if Teren is lying or Teren has a Spirit that blocks other Spirit?\'
Iesa thought to herself as she tried to piece the information together.
At this time, even the teachers would leave. Club endorsement and members recruitment are about to end as well.
Nick, on the other hand, used his creative brain to create a believable story for Lina. However, Lina was not convinced.
5:55 PM
The sky was getting darker. Although it will not get dark at exactly 6:00 PM, it is close.
Inside the faculty, only a few teachers were left. One of them, Hanon smiled at Teren.
"Thank you for telling me all that."
But internally, he was heavily frowning.
\'I still can\'t see his future!\' Hanon thought, \'Even if he will die, I will see his dead body. It\'s not his perspective that I will see through after all!\'
"Then, if that\'s all, Sir Hanon." Teren then was about to stand up.
"Yes... be careful on your way home."
"Yeah, see you later." Teren was about to turn around when Hanon stopped him.
"Wait..."
"Hm?"
"What do you mean \'see you later\'?" Hanon smiled, wanting to make a joke out of it if it\'s just Teren\'s mistake.
Teren turned back to him. At that moment, the other teachers just left, leaving the two of them behind.
"Well, are you not going to ambush me later with your friend?" Teren casually asked.
Hanon stood up in fright. However, he feigned calmness and smiled.
"What do you mean?"
"I don\'t know. I\'m just guessing. This happened to me before so I\'m just assuming." Teren mumbled while staring into Hanon\'s eyes.
"Assumption? From what?"
"I\'m not sure. The fact that you met your friend earlier. And that you literally talked about it outside."
"..." Hanon was dumbfounded, "You... you heard us?"
However, Teren didn\'t answer.
"So, are you just joking or is it true?"
"..."
"Sir Hanon," Teren sighed, "There are so many people who want my life. If I am not aware of my surroundings, how can I survive until now?"
Hanon then frowned and now that he knew that Teren is aware, he no longer tried to hide anything.
Outside, Iesa couldn\'t hear any thoughts. Even the sounds of chatter were absent.
\'I couldn\'t hear anything. What are they talking about?\' she frowned.
"It\'s already been an hour and a half. What are they doing there!?" Lina complained out of boredom.
Inside, Hanon knew he fell into a sticky situation.
\'The Devil Himself is more fearsome than I thought.\'
This, however, couldn\'t be heard by Iesa.
"So are you still going to continue your plan, Sir Hanon?"
Hanon\'s expression became heavy.
\'Should I not?\'
With that thought, he saw the future.
An image flashed before his eyes. Teren was standing in front of Clade. The latter was on the ground, beaten bleeding, and unresponsive. Then Teren looked at the perspective of the future looker.
\'Clade\'s going to die!\' Hanon sharply inhaled.
