Chapter 224 - Almost-
The blade of the knife pierced out, letting it shine with the moonlight\'s reflection.
A great panic occurs across though heard the boom. Just recently, within the city\'s vicinity was bombed.
Meanwhile, Teren\'s body dropped onto a dark alley. He helplessly tumbled back before stopping his movement. However, he\'s not yet dead. He gasped as he was about to lose consciousness. When he tried to stand up, Trisha had already landed in front of him.
He had to take a defensive stance and was forced to lift his foot. But Trisha just broke that too with a booming strike-
Boom!*
Like played broken doll, Teren was thrown away yet again without the ability to change his course. While he was in midair, he glimpsed at the entity running through buildings and walls as if it was nothing.
Trisha had become something like an unstoppable chariot of the undead. A large orb of mists enshrouded her entire being as she charged forward without a care to the obstacles, crashing through them, possibly killing innocent lives since her eyes were only set on one man above.
It didn\'t seem like she\'s willing to jump to get him, therefore, Teren used this time midair to heal all the fatal injuries on his body. His healing was nowhere near as fast as the Nuke Empress but he was still able to regain his \'lost limbs\' albeit still unusable.
When he was about to land again, Trisha was already there to strike her again, this time, he may possibly lose his life. Of course, Teren didn\'t let it as if used his center as a pivot while his arms as the lever, letting him spin away instead of taking all the impact and flying up to the air again.
Teren used this spin to get on his feet and turned away before Trisha could catch up to him. Her speed simply outmatched him but it was not just running that Teren used, he also hide in the wide neighborhood, making Trisha run around and not being able to see a glimpse of him.
When Trisha finally stopped her seemingly unstoppable charge, she looked back and saw the destruction she had created. Confused cries and terrified screams could be heard from her trail. Her heart wavered for a moment before remembering why she was doing this in the first place.
While gritting her teeth, Trisha stomped her foot down CRASH!* - and with a force equivalent to a giant meteor\'s landing, it began to obliterate all those her surrounding as it traveled out, cracking any concrete the shockwave of the force passes through.
Her vision found a movement not so far from her and before she could even think of it, she ran towards him and grabbed him by the neck before pinning him down with another Boom!*
Teren coughed out blood as his internal injuries were critical.
With cold eyes, Trisha saw the complicated expression on Teren. She wanted to ask why, why would he do such a thing?
But those words didn\'t leave her mouth, instead-
"Look at what you\'ve done."
Trisha muttered towards Teren. However, she was not letting him speak with her strong grip blocking his airpath.
Her left fist was raised in hesitance yet her right hand grips his neck in anger. She wanted to kill him right there and then yet, she somehow couldn\'t.
Why?
She wanted answers.
Should she just finish it and be left with unanswered mystery for the rest of her life?
But he\'s already in her hands. Trisha was too furious to let him go and speak. When Teren\'s eyes began to roll up, Trisha\'s grip lessened.
Not because she wanted to...
"Huh?"
There was an unexplainable force making her loosen her grip- a force that\'s stronger than hers.
No!
Being left unanswered is much better than letting this devil live!
Trisha became determined as she was about to strike with her left fist.
Fuah*
Yet, it only made a breeze after stopping midway.
"I... I can\'t move my arm!"
Trisha began to panic. Not for her safety but for Teren\'s death. Just a little more and she could\'ve given the final strike but she was unexplainably stopped.
"Huh?"
Even Teren was confused over the reason why Trisha stopped.
"What are you doing?"
A third voice came in as the two\'s eyes rolled towards the floating entity. Her cold voice reverberates in their ears.
"Who are you?"
Trisha was pissed off. A stranger showed up and from the looks of it, it seemed that this woman was the one stopping her. But the thing that she\'s most pissed about was the fact that she was actually stopped!
"Shut up."
The stranger replied with force, taking Trisha aback. However, she was not going to stay there without a fight.
"Are you saving this demon?"
"Didn\'t I say shut up? I\'m in a bad mood."
Another wave of invisible force made Trisha kneel down but with willpower, she was able to stand up and even the third person was slightly surprised.
"Bad mood? HAHAHA! I fucking lost my mother, you fucking bitch! Don\'t fucking talk about having a fucking bad mood in fucking front of me!"
Trisha wailed as she resisted the force before the third person spoke again.
"Your mother? Isn\'t that your mother over there?"
She pointed to the side. At first, Trisha\'s nerves popped out, thinking that this stranger just attempted to play a trick on her in that state. But still, she fell for it and glanced to the side. She looked at the stranger again before realizing what she just saw in that glance.
"Huh...?"
Slowly, her eyes rolled to the side to see people watching from there. At the very front of that people, just like what the stranger said, was her mother with a confused expression.
"Mom...?"
When that woman was called out, she just realized that it was really Trisha who was wreaking havoc. Upon that realization, her mother ran up to her and screamed.
"Trisha!"
She had been missing for the past few days, her mother\'s reaction of crying and running to hug her tightly was natural.
"B-but..."
Trisha was unable to comprehend what\'s happening, she was left speechless.
